Every year, over 100 million animals such as minks, raccoon dogs, foxes, chinchillas and rabbits die for the fur industry worldwide. This incredible number of individuals are kept on fur farms in cramped wire cages and killed in a brutal manner. Behind every piece of fur lies unimaginable animal suffering.

Although fur coats are seen less today, more fur is being worn than ever before. As collars, bobbles on hats, trimmings on gloves or boots, fur has long since found its way into the wardrobe of the masses. The trade in fur as an accessory or decoration is a lucrative business. Buyers are often unaware that animals have also suffered for cheap items of clothing with fur. This is why NetAP has been campaigning for years for increased education and improvements at the legislative level.
