Spaying and Neutering Programs Cyprus

In late May 2022, we launched a small neutering program in Cyprus after two NetAP volunteers visited the island to find out about Themis Demetriades’ work in Larnaca and spent a few days working with him. He is fighting against windmills on the popular vacation island. Every day he sees kittens that have been dumped, cats that have been hit by cars, animals that are starving, thrown away like dirty socks. Unfortunately, cats reproduce even under the most adverse conditions, which is why the only sustainable solution to this great misery is neutering. But when faced with injured and sick cats, it is difficult for lone fighters like Themis to think about neutering. The little money that is available goes towards rescuing them. And it’s usually not even enough for that.

Thanks to our neutering program, Themis no longer has to worry about neutering costs. At the same time, we provide support with relief supplies such as food, antiparasitics, dental treatment costs and much more.
