Spaying and Neutering Program Bucharest and Craiova

In 2017, Romanian vet Dr Aurelian Stefan asked us for help with neutering cats. Cats are treated very neglected by foreign organisations in Romania and when it comes to funding neutering, they focus on dogs. So we started two neutering programmes especially for cats. One at the ‘Family Vet’ practice in Craiova and one at the ‘Centre of Hope’ in Bucharest. Since 2021, dogs have also been neutered as part of these neutering programmes at the ‘Center of Hope’. However, the focus remains on cats.

We have provided local animal welfare organisations with live traps and other equipment to catch feral cats.
